...Returned to Southern California from the Pacific Northwest...

Just over a week long foray into wetter, colder and greener hidden forests climates West of Portland, Oregon. After a private refresh in remote, drizzling, and sometimes frozen wooded seclusion, we met as a group of four and began a three day recording run at the vibey and cozy A-Frame that is Cooper Mountain Sound Recording Studio. There you'll find the result of a family legacy that provides a sense of privacy and respite, excellent for creativity, music, and an experience not soon forgotten.

Collaborators included Stephen Paul of The Dial Papers, who played guitar and overall ENGINEER. Solo artist Danny Decko played a large and deserving musical role, capturing some of his recent arrangements for guitar, voice and various instruments. Also present in the session was Michael Chiles of RHINOCEROS III to play bass and vibraphone. I personally played a few notes now and then, as well as general production and artist support roles. Everyone contributed creatively, and the hang was cool, as expected.

This ended up being primarily a 'live sounding' guitar and vocal focused project, with a few other instruments for color. The sessions captured original material from each artist and will be released across various artists' platforms in the coming months of 2022.
